Our Nation's Day of Deliverance and my favorite July 4th Collection.

"The fate of unborn millions will now depend, Under God, on the
courage and conduct of this army."  ~ George Washington

John: Mom, do you remember when you told us that Abigail Adams told her husband to "remember the ladies"?

Me: Yes.

John: Well, you're kinda like her, but you say, "remember the libraries."

Me: Did you just compare me to Abigail Adams?

John, nodding.

Me, hugging him.

John, nodding more enthusiastically.

Me, hugging him more enthusiastically.

John: Mom, can we go to the Lego store and buy some Ninjago sets?

Me: Nice try. Not today, but we can borrow Ninjago books from the library.

Remember the ladies and the men who birthed our nation. Remember the courage and conduct of those that have fought and continue to fight for our freedom.  And yes, remember the libraries. Thank you, Ben Franklin.

Hopefully, all of our children know about the real Ethan Allen. He's so much more than a furniture store.

Happy Birthday, America.
