Library Book Club Kits

Have you thought about starting a neighborhood book club? Or if you're currently in a book club but would love great literary suggestions and a kit put together for your group every month ~ the library wants to help. They provide free (all you need is your library card) kits that include 10 books, discussion questions, as well as thorough background information on the author and subject matter ~ deeper insight provided by librarians and warmly shared with us.

Our library is sweet enough to also include a Book Club Directory of local book clubs and helpful book club resources such as book reviews, author information and online book review websites.

When you're thinking about your Top 10 heroes, is Dr. Paul Farmer on your list? He should be. Mountains Beyond Mountains is our pick for April ~ would love for you to join us. For more on Dr. Paul Farmer, watch this movie.

Happy Birthday, Maya Angelou.

When I started the 2nd and 3rd grade book clubs, the library was helpful beyond measure!!!! I'd come up with a book and they'd search high and low to all the surrounding libraries, in and out of the system, to get me my 14 copies for all the kids. I could not have done it without the library's support and vast resources!
