Making The Most Of The Nutcracker Ballet

Tis the season for this classic ballet, and when you bring home the book and the music from the library, your children will enjoy the live performance even more. Not to mention how delightful it is listening to them humming Tchaikovsky as they brush their teeth, do their homework and wash the dishes. Or was that me?

Yes! We've been reading, and humming, already, in anticipation of our annual viewing of the ballet. What a wonderful tradition, made all the richer by the book and music!

Coincidence!!! Tomorrow we're going to see the the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra perform the Nutcracker with the Joffrey Ballet performing with them. So excited for the holidays - I'm starting to feel faint!!!!

The Nutcracker ballet is one of my favorite traditions :) My grandma took us every year when I was little, and once I was living in a city with a ballet I've gone every year. Sadly, it doesn't look like I'm going to make it this year. Love the music, though :)
