Don't Judge A Book

A few hours before Nick and Arielle's combined birthday bash,
a dear neighbor called and reminded me that
every time we plan an outdoor celebration, it pours.
If this cloudburst was a DJ, he brought down the house
for this party, let me tell you.

While the weather was raining on our
tent camping parade, the sun
was dazzling inside our kitchen.
This girl radiates beauty.

The outside of a book doesn't always
tell the whole story.
Most often it doesn't even give a hint
as to what is happening inside.

Pick up this great read at your library today:

Before you tell yourself you aren't into history,
trust me ~ you want to read this book.
Or let David McCullough narrate it to you
(insert total swoonie face here); pick up the audio cd.
It's a fabulous, factual party in a book.

FYI: Fair weather arrived on time for our festivities
and ten boys slept under a full moon
(the word slept is sheer fabrication on my part).
I have been sworn to girls-rule-secrecy about how us
14 chicks rocked the house.

Have a great weekend ~ visit your local library.

xoxo Michele

Very fun! And your photographs are fantastic, by the way. The first, of the rain, is gorgeous.

Thank you, sweet friends! When I took that photo I was (almost)crying as hard as the rain - but all went well and we had a fantastic party. So glad it is over, though.
